How's the #10 backbore different from the standard series?

Edited

We have a number of different backbores to offer players to more comfortably match the desired resistant and sound.

In our experience, players find their way to our #2 or #1 standard backbores initially.  These offer a very balanced resistance while not feeling stuffy or tight.  However, when a player is looking for a larger sound and more volume, we bring both larger cup shapes to the table, but also the #10 series backbores.

The #10 series has a internal taper that opens up quicker after the throat than the standard series.  In general, this has the effect of lowering the resistance with only subtle changes intonation.

The #10 series is offered with multiple throat lengths, with the "-1" being the shortest - almost no throat at all in the backbore.

The #10-2, #10-3, #10-4, #10-5, each have longer throat sections, increasing their general resistance and tightening of slots.  The smallest of these, the #10-5, starts to feel much like the standard backbore series in terms of resistance, and therefore some overlap, but with subtle differences in feel.
